UNDERWRITING ASSOCIATE (HYBRID, M/F/X/D)

About the Role   As an Underwriting Associate, you'll be the backbone of our underwriting operations, ensuring smooth processing of insurance business for our corporate customers in the Spanish market.
You'll collaborate with local underwriters, EMEA Operations teams, and colleagues across Europe to deliver exceptional service and maintain our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities   Maintain system integrity by entering and updating information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes, and associated tasks Structure multinational programs in collaboration with underwriters, ensuring proper setup and documentation Review and process insurance and legal documentation, accurately reflecting terms and conditions in our systems Manage documentation flow by following up on outstanding items according to established guidelines Engage with customers through regular interaction with external brokers and insured clients Prepare contractual documentation including policies, certificates, and other required paperwork Contribute to process improvement by collaborating on Standard Operating Procedures, system enhancements, and testing changes Coordinate effectively with team members across multiple locations and functions   Execute rule-based tasks following standard operating procedures with precision and attention to detail   About the Team   You will be joining our local Spanish team based in Madrid, a diverse group with varied proficiencies, skills, and experience levels, all united in their commitment to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' success.
The team works collaboratively with underwriters and operations specialists across EMEA to deliver exceptional service to our corporate clients and broker partners.

Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent qualification Minimum 1 year of relevant insurance industry experience Excellent communication skills (reading, written, and verbal) in both Spanish and English Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service   Adaptability to changing tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment These are additional nice to haves.
Experience with multinational insurance programs Knowledge of insurance policy documentation and structures Familiarity with insurance industry systems and tools Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural environments Problem-solving skills when working with detailed information   For Spain, the base annual salary range for this position is between EUR and EUR (for a full-time role).
