This is a full-time, permanent role that can be done remotely or from offices in the UK, Italy, or Poland.
What you'll be doing.
Providing technical leadership and direction across an established project, working closely with the Game Director and CTO Extending and evolving a mature Unity codebase to meet new gameplay and system requirements, while maintaining stability and a regular release cadence Conducting code reviews for internal developers and external contractors, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability Identifying and reducing technical debt while upholding coding standards and architectural best practices Supporting documentation efforts and establishing technical guidelines for future development Mentoring other programmers and helping maintain a positive, high-performing development culture Working with remote and distributed team members across multiple locations What we're looking for.
5+ years of experience in Unity (C#) development for Windows, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role Proven track record of working with and extending mature Unity codebases Strong skills in technical leadership, architecture planning, and code quality assurance Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working across departments Deep understanding of version control, code review practices, and scalable development workflows Ability to mentor developers and support a blended internal and contractor development team If you’re a Unity expert with strong leadership skills and a passion for tactical strategy games, this role offers the chance to make a real impact on a project with an active fanbase and long-term future.
