  The Systems Verification Engineer will own, manage, and develop test methods for the Johnson & Johnson Surgical Robotics system.
The individual should have strong communication skills as they will work closely with engineers from all functional teams, including R&D, systems, quality engineering, and external vendors.
The engineer will document the test equipment and systems in accordance with FDA design control processes (21 CFR) and IEC .
What You’ll Do.
Support verification strategy and execution for system and/or sub-system verification.
Develop test methods that meet complex requirement intent.
This will include protocol development, fixture development, fixture qualification, test script development, test script validation, test method validation, analysis of data, and report/test summary generation.
Work closely with Systems, R&D, and Quality engineering to ensure requirement testability and that testing meets internal customer needs.
Communicate plans to technical and non-technical leadership.  Qualifications Required Education:  BS.
in Engineering or other applicable technical degree.
  Required Skills & Experience.
3+ years of systems integration experience.
Basic knowledge across engineering fields (such as electrical, mechanical, software), with intermediate domain expertise in at least one area.
Proficiency in technical writing and good documentation practices.
Highly organized; strong project management ability and communication skills.
Other Requirements:  Ability to travel up to 10% domestic US and Internationally, with overnight stay.
Ability to work in Santa Clara, CA.
  Preferred Skills & Experience.
M.
./PhD in Engineering or other applicable technical degree, with 1+ years of systems integration experience.
Ability to develop testing/analysis software scripts in Python, MATLAB, C++, or other scripting languages.
Robotics or electro-mechanical experience.
Prior experience writing verification plans/protocols and executing formal testing in a regulated industry (medical device, or similar, such as automotive, aerospace).
Prior experience in electro-mechanical fixture development and qualification.
Prior experience or understanding of developing and/or executing test method validation.
Understanding the design controls process and successful completion of the product development life cycle of complex capital equipment or reusable devices.
