Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Staff Quality Engineer, to be located in Santa Rosa, California.  There are two (2) roles.  These positions are based onsite in Santa Rosa, and eligible for hybrid work (J&J Flex) with at least 3 days in the office and up to 2 days worked remotely each week.

Description.
The Staff Quality Engineer will support, plan and lead quality and integration activities to ensure effective execution of new product development, lifecycle management, product quality, supplier management and other quality related activities that are consistent with the established standards by performing the following duties personally.
Remediation of quality system elements to standards is also required.
Responsibilities Under (e.
., limited supervision, general direction, etc.) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position.
·       Have responsibility and ownership to complete activities related to remediation and integration to applicable quality system elements to meet standards and regulations.
·       Will support and collaborate with peers and other deportment in the implementation of Quality Engineering practices, support of Quality System elements including NC/CAPA, Supplier Controls.
·       Assists in assuring that Quality System Regulation requirements are met, including Design Control and Purchasing Controls.
·       Provides input to Risk Management efforts for products and processes.
·       Provides support to manufacturing process development, validation and inspection.
·       Ensures that appropriate level of quality and reliability of purchased components is specified.
·       Maintains dashboards and other reports of performance metrics as required.
·       Ensures Supplier controls are executed including supplier evaluations, audits, agreements.
Works with suppliers to ensure delivery of quality components/product.
·       Investigates product/process problems to identify root cause and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken and verified to be effective in eliminating problem.
·       Supports regulatory audits, internal, and external audits as required.
·       Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level ·       For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable ·       Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures ·       Performs other duties assigned as needed Qualifications ·       As minimum, Bachelor, preferably in engineering.
Mechanical, Electrical, industrial or applicable science.
·       6 to 8 years of work experience, or demonstrated performance.
·       Ability to communicate in English, orally and written.
·       Advanced technical training and experience in the use of Statistics and Lean methodologies and Six Sigma, including Measuring System Analysis, SPC, DOEs, reliability, etc preferred.
·       Ability to perform detailed investigation in the solution of problems and resolution of problems, preferably.
·       Capacity to solve problems and provide good judgment, highly desirable.
·       Demonstrated management abilities of projects and leadership projects, preferably.
·       Certifications such as CQA and CQE (preferably), CBA and Green Belt are a plus.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.  Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
