SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, INFRASTRUCTURE

Our Team We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with interest and expertise in platform engineering to join VistaPrint’s Platforms Services Domain.
In this role, you will contribute to the implementation of platform products, SLO/SLI self-services, local development environments, dev CLI, and scaffolding.
You will play a key role in maturing our organization and fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices in software development within the team.
You will work closely with VistaPrint’s development teams to understand their needs and help them make use of the platform and tools developed by the Platform Services Domain.
What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain platform products—such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using tools like CDK or Pulumi—that enable product teams to operate applications independently while minimizing cognitive overhead.
Develop and evolve self-service tooling, including local development environments, developer CLI tools, and scaffolding systems, to accelerate onboarding and promote standardization across teams Build AI-powered tools and platforms that enhance engineering productivity Build and improve the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows that support rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery, while promoting best practices in DevOps  Contribute to the observability strategy by implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
Define and drive adoption of SLOs and SLIs to measure system health and proactively address reliability concerns.
Collaborate with security and incident teams to ensure platform and the product we build meet internal standards.
Proactively remediate vulnerabilities and contribute to secure-by-default platform designs.
Collaborate with engineers, sharing knowledge on infrastructure automation, platform engineering patterns, and modern software development practices to uplift team capabilities and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Champion engineering excellence by advocating for clean code, reusable patterns, test automation, and strong documentation, ensuring that all solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term organizational goals.

Proficient in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.
s, Go, and Python, with a strong understanding of language-specific best practices.
Hands-on experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs, with a strong grasp of backend integration patterns.
Deep knowledge of AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, other AWS Serverless components, and how to build scalable solutions using them.
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Pulumi, Terraform, and AWS CDK, with a focus on reusable, maintainable infrastructure patterns.
Experience developing developer tooling such as CLI utilities, scaffolding frameworks, and compute abstraction layers to streamline development workflows.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile delivery practices, and modern CI/CD strategies.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, and how they fit into development and deployment workflows.
Hands-on experience applying observability best practices—like logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing—to ensure systems are healthy, reliable, and easy to troubleshoot.
