JOB DESCRIPTION SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (SPE) Context Delta Projects is a small, fast-growing Engineering Consulting firm active solely in the Food industry.With customers worldwide, delta Projects has offices in Switzerland, Spain, and USA. The activities are not solely limited to Food Engineering but expanded as well to supports our clients in Manufacturing, Utilities, Quality and Maintenance. Those are field which requires, aside from strong Engineering competences, a deep knowledge of Hygiene concepts, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety standards. We offer a high standard multi-discipline Engineering applied to CAPEX projects and manufacturing performance enhancement.   Job Title Senior Project Engineer (SPE)  Job Location The position is based at delta Projects’ office is in Barcelona. The nature of our international work requires continuous presence at the customers, suppliers, and at partners’ locations. Those are in Europe and USA, probably in Asia in future. As well, we regularly visit expos related to our field: Food processing, packaging, and engineering in general. The SPE will be available for the necessary travels as required to perform his tasks.  The candidate StudiesBachelor or Master studies in Mechanical or Chemical Engineer Attitude-       Customer oriented: the customer needs are our priority.-       Curiosity: the diversity of our projects, requires diversified knowledges.-       Fast learner: the diversity of technologies and type of projects requires knowledge in various areas; Is key to find the necessary knowledge and information in prompt time.-       Team player: we believe that none can win alone we all help each other. The future candidate will be evaluated on his capability to integrate the team, the client’s and the partner’s teams. TasksThe SPE will be entrusted with one or more projects, depending on size and difficulty. Depending on the project status, he will be responsible for:-       Prepare the project concept according to the client’s needs.-       Design and size the solution retained.-       Select the necessary equipment.-       Contact suppliers and clients to complete the project.-       Support the client in the procurement phase, with suppliers and contractors.-       Supervise of the installation and start-up of the projects. Bonus points10+ years’ experience in Projects, Manufacturing or MaintenanceExperience in food or pharmaceutical industry, GMP, HACCP, PMO, EHEDG, FDA, ISO 22000 etc. (The acronyms are not developed in purpose).Good practical knowledge of CAD software 2D and 3D.Good knowledge of industrial standards. LanguagesFluent in English, any other language is a plus.
