SENIOR LABORATORY TECHNICIAN_GENOMICS

The staff of the Translational Genomics Platform provides technical/methodological/scientific support and advice to research groups upon request, with the aim of promoting research, innovation, and knowledge in the field of genomics.
In parallel, it offers daily genetic analysis services to the clinical diagnostic units at HUGTiP.
It also has a consultancy service.
We are looking for Senior Laboratory Technician for the Translational Genomics Platform.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES The tasks to be carried out are those of a technician in the context of a scientific-technological platform.
Technical activities.
sample reception; DNA and RNA extraction; QC of nucleic acids; use and configuration of genetic analyzers; configuration and use of liquid dispensing robots for quantification of differential gene expression with techniques based on the use of real-time qPCR and PCR digital; genetic analysis techniques (library preparation and sequencing) using several NGS sequencers equipments.
Complementary activities.
scientific-technological advice to users of the Platform; writing reports based on the analysis of the results of the different technologies.
Maintenance activities.
periodic preventive maintenance of the equipment available on the platform and stock control of the laboratory material Training activities.
attendance at the periodic technical seminars organized by the IGTP aimed at support technicians; presentation of scientific results at national meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE FP2 Technician in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis, Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, Manufacturing of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological and Related Products or Analysis and Quality Control Laboratory One year's experience in research or in a clinical, pharmacological or biomedical laboratory Advanced knowledge of read and written English for the interpretation/understanding of standardized work procedures Motivation for research, ability to learn and work independently and in a team It will be valued the knowledge of applied molecular genetics, including NGS sequencing on various technological platforms It will be valued the knowledge of computer resources associated with NGS sequencing and other basic bioinformatics tools It will be valued the ability to write and implement scientific protocols and write scientific reports WHAT WE OFFER Indefinite contract (Idefinido por actividades científico-técnicas-Ley ) Immediate incorporation.
The gross anual remuneration associated with the position in this call will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills, and will be distributed in 12 payments.
