Senior Azure Platform Engineer incl.
SQL About the Job We are looking for a highly skilled and solution-oriented Azure Platform Engineer with expertise in Terraform as well as Azure SQL skills to join our team at Allianz Technology.
The candidate shall develop, maintain, and automate our infrastructure code at scale leveraging the Azure ecosystem, while effectively solving complex problems from start to finish.
What you do • Design, develop, maintain and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on cloud (mainly Azure) services, to meet business needs and performance standards.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using terraform • Manage and optimize SQL DW / dedicated SQL pool environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, functions, and queries, to support various business needs.
• Utilize SQLPackage (dacpac / Data-tier applications) for database deployment and management.
• Review and optimize code written by other team members to ensure best practices and performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
What you bring • Technical Knowledge in Azure Synapse and enterprise SQL environments, preferably in SQL DW / dedicated SQL pool as well as SQL package (dacpac), Terraform, read & write scripts in bash and powershell, profound understanding of JSON & YAML file formats.
Good to know.
Python, networking, security hardening, version control systems (Git), Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions/Workflows, Azure Data Factory.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
