SCADA MANAGER - MADRID

Main responsibilitiesContribute to the development and refinement of the SCADA strategy, determining system structure and functionalities based on project requirements.Oversee the deployment of SCADA systems, including installation and configuration of hardware and software, and integration with other automation systems to ensure seamless operation. Adhere to industry standards and specifications to meet regulatory and safety requirements.Supervise system debugging and testing processes to ensure accurate real-time data acquisition and processing within the SCADA system.Identify and resolve system integration and communication issues to ensure system stability and reliability. Participate in developing the company's Centre of Excellence and remote control capabilities, engaging in designing, selecting, configuring, installing, and debugging relevant platforms, software, and hardware for the remote control centre. Monitor key performance indicators and parameters.Configure and maintain alarm systems for timely detection and response to abnormal conditions. Develop and implement security policies to safeguard against cyber threats and system failures, ensuring SCADA systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations.Update SCADA systems to align with evolving business needs and technological advancements.Analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimisation recommendations.Adjust configurations to better efficiency and scalability in response to changing system requirements.Work with other departments to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with other operational systems. Provide operational support to Construction, Grid, and O&M teams.Review documentation to ensure compliance with security policies and company standards.Job requirementsBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Technologies, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated by substantial work experience.Proven work experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically with PV plants and wind farms. Experience in application and infrastructure monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Proficient in SCADA commissioning, with hands-on experience in deploying and configuring SCADA systems.Strong knowledge of SCADA systems for acquiring, managing, and analysing process data from various technological systems, including SCADA, RTU, and PLC.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and DNP, facilitating seamless data exchange between systems.Understanding of communication systems including Satellite, Fiber Optic, and Wiimax, ensuring effective data transmission and connectivity.Proficient in conducting third-level query processes, generating reports, and coordinating with suppliers for system enhancements.Skilled in monitoring system performance, implementing updates, and driving continuous improvements.Experience implementing best practice security measures such as ACLs (Access Control Lists) and firewalls to protect systems from cyber threats.Preferably knowledgeable about network topologies including routing, switching, WAN/LAN configurations, and VPN (Virtual Private Network) setups
