Are you a skilled professional in renewable energy and leading technical teams • Join our Remote Operations Center (ROC) in Madrid - a key part of Vestas Global Service, under the Asset Performance Operations division, responsible for real-time remote monitoring and troubleshooting of wind farms across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
ROC Team The ROC (Remote Operations Center) plays a vital role in the Vestas service value chain.
As first responders to turbine faults, we help optimize operational costs and ensure our customers get the most out of their wind assets by maximizing turbine availability as quickly and safely as possible.
Our team consists of highly skilled technical experts who understand turbine design, operational challenges, and business requirements.
Their insights enable smart decision-making - whether it's safe to keep turbines running or if a local Service team needs to be deployed.
The ROC also provides technical support across the Vestas organization, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve technical and operational issues.
Responsibilities You will report to the Global Head of Remote Operations Centers and lead the ROC Madrid team.
Your main responsibilities will include.
Acting as the primary point of contact for Service stakeholders in LATAM (Latin America), MED (Mediterranean countries), and NCE (Northern & Central Europe).
Supporting the ROC Madrid team in their continuous training and development to ensure daily Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
Leading by example and delivering results through others - tracking business objectives, key projects, and KPIs.
Capacity planning, project follow-up, and budget understanding.
Recruiting and designing roles to attract the right talent.
Coaching and giving continuous feedback to direct reports to ensure long-term growth and performance.
Creating a positive team culture and promoting employee engagement.
Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to understand their operational needs.
Participating in Continuous Improvement Programs and cross-functional projects to enhance performance across the organization.
Qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have.
Studies related to Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience in the wind energy industry, with at least 3 years leading operational or matrix teams.
Extensive knowledge of service delivery centers, process standardization, and global operations.
Experience with root cause failure analysis, fault diagnosis, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
Solid IT proficiency and professional approach.
Fluent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
