PROJECT FINANCE SENIOR ASSOCIATE

OW a controlled 50/50 joint venture between EDP and Engie is looking for an analytical and communicative "Project Finance Senior Associate".Are you willing to join a passionate and high performing team, in a cross-cultural, fast-paced, and strongly grOWing environment?GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe successful incumbent will be expected to work in the Structured Finance team. While operating under the supervision of the Head of the department, the successful candidate will be able to manage and execute processes and activities with a degree of autonomy. The main areas of work are: Project Finance:Active involvement in the full Project Financing cycle: early analysis, market sounding, development, structuring and execution of project financing strategy.Management of relationship with key stakeholders (shareholders, advisors, banks, partners, other company departments)Financial ModellingRisk exposure (monitoring of risk exposure and implementation of mitigation instruments)Bid/Tender activities: provide finance input to M&A activities such as bid preparation, analysis and execution. All these tasks require developing and leading sound working relationships with different departments. The role is varied and reflects the need to support the growth of OW and to rapidly respond to market developments. REQUIREMENTSExperience5 years of experience in Project Finance, gained at a bank, advisory firm, Big 4, energy or renewable energy company or fund manager.The candidate will have developed a sufficient autonomy to manage discreet workstreams, with some supervision.Skills and General CapabilitiesHighly numerate, able to build and manage complex financial models. Prior experience in the negotiation of financing term-sheets and agreements will be highly valued.Ability to communicate openly and effectively in writing and in person.Ability to work successfully alongside other people. Strong relationship building capabilities.Self-motivated, with an ability to manage one’s own work effectively, to use one’s own initiative to achieve results and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills, detail oriented but capable of seeing the bigger picture.Ability in the use of standard office applications and finance software. Availability to travelSpending some period of time in Europe or USA might be required.EducationBachelor’s in finance, Economics or Engineering.MBA preferred.LanguagesAbility to read, write and speak English fluently.
