The research activities have been focused on the areas of materials for transport, energy, and health care and the Institute has state-of-the-art facilities for processing, characterization and simulation of advanced materials.

Description The researcher will perform analytical and experimental studies on networks of 1D nanomaterials in different macroscopic ensembles, in order to derive models that describe bulk network properties (mechanical, electrical) and relate them to structural features of the 1D nanomaterial populations and of the network.
Requirements Familiarity with 1D nanomaterials, nanostructured fibres/sheets and characterization methods (Raman spectroscopy, WAXS/SAXS, SEM, mechanical testing) is essential.
PhD in materials science, polymer physics, or a related discipline Conditions Full-time contract including social security coverage.
