About the role Are you a passionate and experienced leader ready to make a meaningful impact Join our dedicated Family Based Care Program as an Operations Manager where youll play a vital role in supporting foster carers and improving outcomes for vulnerable children across Victoria.
In this role youll lead a team of skilled Child and Family Practitioners providing guidance oversight and support to ensure the highest quality care.
Youll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in Victoria with regular visits to our VIC offices and some travel to regional placement locations.
Key responsibilities include.
Overseeing day-to-day management of the Family Based Care Program including budgets staffing and reporting Leading motivating and developing a high-performing team focused on client outcomes and quality service delivery Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders foster carers and community partners Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations quality standards and child protection policies Driving continuous improvement growth and innovation within the program Acting as a proactive leader within the broader Victoria CYF team What were looking for.
A degree in Human Services or a related discipline Proven management experience in childrens services preferably within out-of-home care Strong knowledge of child protection frameworks and policies Familiarity with TCI and CARE principles highly regarded Outstanding communication negotiation and interpersonal skills Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities A strategic thinker who can respond effectively to local needs and challenges Commitment to culturally safe practices particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Current drivers licence and ability to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check Why work with us We offer a competitive salary package including a generous $ vehicle allowance up to $ in salary sacrifice benefits and a $ annual meal and entertainment card.
