YOUR MISSION As a Junior Web Developer within the Courier Cluster at Glovo, you will be the primary owner of the web platform's backend and frontend, as well as its content.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our web presence is optimized for performance, courier experience, and content relevance.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail.
Ready to take on a new challenge and make an impact? Join us on this exciting ride at Glovo! THE JOURNEY Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure of the web platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Implement new features and functionalities based on business requirements and user feedback.
Design and develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces for the web platform using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive organic traffic.
Curate and update content on the web platform to ensure accuracy, relevance, and freshness.
Monitor web performance metrics, including page load times, conversion rates, and bounce rates.
Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and external users, resolving issues related to the web platform.
Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and other technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience.
Work closely with the IT team to address infrastructure-related issues and implement solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE Proven experience in WordPress development and customization, with proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferably around 2 years of experience).  Strong understanding of web hosting environments, cPanel management, and server administration.
Experience with content management systems (CMS), particularly WordPress, and familiarity with SEO best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks based on business impact.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with diverse teams.
Fluent English verbally and written (C level) is mandatory.
