METALLURGY TEST TECHNICIAN

We are Applus+ Laboratories, an Applus+ Group division that provides testing, certification and product development engineering services. In the Materials and Mechanics area we evaluate the properties of various materials, components and structures for the aerospace, automotive, railway, wind energy industries, among others.Our experts help clients develop their products and comply with any applicable regulations.We are currently growing and are looking for a Test Leader Metallurgy to join our team on a stable basis.Your typical work day will consist of: -Creates and coordinates overall test plans and assists in developing test procedures and reports which meet the customer’s program testing requirements-Focal point for customer in different issues of the Project (planning, testing, quality and reporting)-Lead and coordinate the activities to achieve the project planning agreed with the customer-Plan, budget, monitor and report on the project internally-Keep updated the laboratory test Plan to Metallurgical operations.-Ensure the customer satisfaction during the project development-Design and perform all kind of test according to the costumer’s requirements:Tests and metallurgical characterization examsMicroscopy of metallic materials (metallography, hardness) and composites (stack thicknesses and identification of defects in laminates & honeycomb).Tests of characterization physical/chemistry of metallic and non-metallic protective coatings (qualitative nature identification, layer thicknesses, accelerated corrosion tests)Failure analysis due to breakage or corrosion (using Electronic microscopy, SEM-EDX)What we’re looking for: Degree in Chemistry + Master in Materials Science and Engineering.High english levelPrevious experience in the typology of essays/exams described will be valued.Ability to work simultaneously on different projectsWhat we’ll offer you: Permanent work contract 23 days of vacation and 3 days of free disposalFlexible compensation plan (health insurance, transportation, daycare, restaurant tickets) Employee parking Green areas, yoga classes, and other wellness activitiesLunch area with a special reduced priceWould you like to participate in projects of high technical complexity?
