With over 100 schools in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and Asia, we employ 15,000 teaching and support staff in the care and education of more than 75,000 students.We have an exciting position for IT Technician located at our Schools in Madrid, reporting into the ICT Manager of Cognita Schools in Madrid and fulfil a wider role in contributing towards helping to deliver the strategic IT priorities for the Schools. You will be expected to do anything reasonable required by the staff, pupils and Principal.Key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:1. Infrastructure areaEnsure the proper functioning of the school’s servers, which will serve as the basis of the rest of the technological servicesMaintain the infrastructure of web services, intranet, internet, email Office 3652. Communications areaGuarantee the voice and data communications serviceLook for solutions in the case of the continuous growth of communication needs.Ensure the necessary security in the use of internet, both at the level of internal and external users3. Microcomputer and support areaGive computer support of 1st and 2nd levelManagement of the computer park (hardware and software inventory)Management of security tools, antivirus, etc.The ideal candidate will have ability to work in a team, initiative, communication skills, ability to learn, analysis capacity and ability to manage stress and pressure.You have extensive knowledge of infrastructure in Microsoft and Linux server platforms (Operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365), network topology and installation, configuration and maintenance of appliance, microcomputer knowledge and computer maintenance, expert level management on office applications and management, basic knowledge in audio-visual systems (TV, sound and light mixers, etc).Speak native Spanish and high level of English.Previous Experience Must Include:Meaningful experience at least 2 years in similar position.Ability to work well within a teamAwareness of dealing with confidential informationAbility to work under pressure.Benefits PackageCompetitive Salary with some other benefits:Permanent full-time contractFree lunch at Schools25 days Holiday plus Bank HolidaysDiversity and Inclusion We believe having a diverse workforce makes us better, smarter and happier and so welcome applicants from all backgrounds, genders, and races.
