This is your opportunity!We are looking for an IT Product Owner (Euopean Enablement) to join our team!Within the New IT HUB Sales - Retail of the Future supporting the strategic Mercedes Benz Program we need an IT Product Owner.Product Owner within Mercedes-Benz is accountable for maximizing the product value, by leading the development effort and conveying the vision to the team, creating and prioritizing work in the the Product Backlog based on business value and user needs.Description of role and responsibilities:Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and goals, ensuring alignment with the program's objectives.Collaborate closely with cross-functional roles in an agile team, and IT teams to support product development, ensuring that the team delivers effective customer solutions.Prioritize product features and development efforts, considering quality, and governance principles.Utilize industry-standard tools for product management to streamline product development.Facilitate communication between product development teams, IT experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of products.Embrace Agile product management practices to align product development with program goals, driving continuous improvement.Contribute to the continuous enhancement of product ownership practices within the organization to support the program's objectives.End-to-end responsibility for improving the product within your team’s mission across the whole lifecycle(incl. Operations).Work cross-functionally with consultants, designers, and engineers to improve the user experience and develop new features.Develop a deep understanding of our users/customers, their pains and their needs.Work data-driven, collecting information and systematically analyzing user feedback.Align with your team on goals and KPIs and execute the product roadmap based on an objectively prioritized backlog.Decompose complex problems into clearly articulated objectives.Education degree & technical experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a STEM related field.Relevant certifications, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager are advantageous.A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product ownership, product management, and IT.Technical knowledge/AccountabilitiesProficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe or Kanban, and experience with program-level management.Strong sense of accountability and end-to-end ownership.A self-sufficient working attitude and strong analytical skills in order to reflect the priorities of product development while making trade-offs between decisions transparent.Motivate and inspire a cross-functional team in incremental and validated growth also in remote and offshoring setups.Leading the development effort by conveying the vision to the team, creating and prioritizing work in the Product Backlog based on business value and user needs.Leading a product team towards a sustainable life cycle management including functional, operational and non-functional aspects of a product (ie. resilience, security, scalability, etc.) via DevOps best practices Collaborating with stakeholders (Process Manager, other product owners, Management) ensuring their interests are included in the product.Collaborating with the team to ensure the product is of quality and solves user and business problems according to time and budget constraints.Experience (skills and years)3-5 years of proven experience in product ownership, including defining product vision, roadmap, and prioritization.Successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product development.Demonstrated ability to facilitate the exchange of products between blueprint applications.Knowledge of Agile product management practices to align product development with program goals.Experience working with digital products and technical teams.English Proficient in English, both written and spoken.Knowledge of the German language is a plus.Other PreferencesIn addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate should possess a set of vital soft skills for the role, including agility to swiftly adapt to evolving situations, a strong sense of empowerment, fostering trust and inspiration, a co-creative mindset that thrives on collaborative innovation, a relentless drive to excel and achieve success, unwavering customer orientation aimed at continually delighting our clients, a deep-rooted sense of purpose, a pioneering spirit that embraces innovation, and a commitment to continuous learning to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.
