So we have a huge and excited challenge!!Role OverviewThe International & Domestic Logistics Operations Manager will support daily logistics operations,manage relationships with transportation providers, and handle invoice creation for logistics. Therole is based in a highly sensitive, fast paced environment, demanding flexibility and accuracy,while in compliance with International/Federal/State regulations.Primary Duties & Responsibilities• Lead the transportation operations process for bid implementation and carrier management across all segments inbound and primary transport.• Oversee domestic transport operations partnering with supply chain (planning, Logistics coordinator)• Ensure teams maintain process control, drive accountability to KPIs and drive continuous improvement for efficient processing and increased productive per FTE• Coordinate transportation capacity plans and intermodal strategies• Lead day to day relationships with Carriers and manage overall carrier performance.• Identify opportunities to optimize costs and deliver/exceed against budget targets (Optimizing numbers of pallets per truck• Business partner Logistics Procurement to execute bid and timely action plan resolution• Provide project management support and process design input• Handle appointments and communication with 3PL for all in-bounds (ICS)• Work in close communication with the demand planners coordinating all in and outbounds ensuring a robust process is in place to optimize pick-ups and transloads• Prepare and ensure all documentation have accurate information and is handed timelyto all receiving parties• Ensure all fees are timely paid to have a smooth pick up at port and airports• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of international shipments• Responding to manufacturers inquiries• Making all international shipping arrangements (SEA/AIR)--Reviewing ISF’s and Reviewing and ensuring all documentation contains the right information (packaging list, AWB’s)• Tracking and fixing any shipping errors• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards• Ensuring following processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized• Prepare and Deliver weekly Reports to Senior Decision Makers• Creating export and import documentation in support of movement of drug substance, drug products, and finished goods• Providing timely status updates on domestic and international shipments• Coordinating internally with finance and business partners, freight forwarders, and 3PLs for timely and accurate shipment releases and deliveries• Working with carriers to schedule shipments, track shipment status, and provide timely PODs• Performing required inventory transactions in the ERP system• Developing/managing record keeping and audit processes• Participating in Freight forwarders evaluations and business reviews• Supporting Logistics with daily operational activities• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data and working with internal partners to create meaningful metrics and KPIs• Performing monthly analysis of shipping data and reporting to management• Performing trending analysis and own related reports, identifying necessary corrective actions and driving implementationCompetencies/Career level• Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities• Excellent customer service and client relations skills• Keep organization and time management skills• Good collaboration and teamwork abilities• Great leadership and goal-setting skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Advanced data analysis and data visualization• Expert inventory management• Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes• Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutionsRequirements and personal skills• Education: Bachelor’s Degree• Languages: Advanced English and Spanish• Experience (years/area): 4+ years managing logistics. Pharmaceuticals or life sciencesexperience a plus• Specific Knowledge: Excel, Navision, SAP, Microsoft suite.
