Madrid (Hybrid) ?  International Team ABOUT THE ROLE At LHH, we are looking for a   Head of Security Architecture and Engineering  for our client, a leading company with a strong global presence.
This strategic role will lead a team of cybersecurity architects and specialists, ensuring that technology projects incorporate security by design and evolve in alignment with the company’s security strategy and risk profile.
The position involves managing a distributed team across Madrid and Malmö, fostering international collaboration, and ensuring the implementation of robust security controls.
We seek a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture and risk management.

?? Lead and motivate a team of cybersecurity architects and engineers across multiple locations.
?? Ensure team alignment with company goals, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
?? Foster a collaborative work environment and support the professional development of team members.
?? Sponsor key strategic initiatives to strengthen the company’s security posture, leading projects from planning to execution.
Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering ?? Provide strategic direction on key security design decisions.
?? Develop and maintain security frameworks aligned with industry best practices and business needs.
?? Own the roadmap and strategy for security controls in areas such as.
Application security and secure development.
Identity and access management.
Ransomware resilience and Zero Trust.
?? Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance security posture and operational efficiency.
Global Coordination ?? Work closely with teams in Madrid, Malmö, and other locations to ensure seamless communication and cohesion.
?? Collaborate with different departments to implement global security strategies.
Compliance & Risk Management ?? Ensure security architecture compliance with local regulations and company-wide policies.
?? Lead risk management forums to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security threats to key company assets.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience & Qualifications ? Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams in multinational environments.
? Deep expertise in security architecture, engineering, and cyber risk management.
? Strong ability to coordinate geographically distributed teams and engage with multiple stakeholders.
? Fluency in English (C1 level required).
Swedish and Spanish are a plus.
? Availability for on-call duties and occasional international travel.
