About the Role We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Business Partner to join our global team in the ELL (English Language Learning) Division.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing, and enabling functions (including Finance, HR, and Operations), by bringing expertise in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Corporate, and Institutional business models.
This is a unique opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in a global context, working closely with various regions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and Strategy.
Lead the development and execution of ELL’s financial plans and strategies in collaboration with function group leaders.
Work closely with function leaders to develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to drive financial discipline and accountability.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Provide comprehensive financial analysis, forecasts, and insights to support strategic business decisions.
Provide comprehensive global financial analysis on marketing initiatives, campaigns, and product launches.
Develop and deliver regular, insightful global financial reports to aid decision-making within the various function teams and other stakeholders.
Partner with the business to develop business cases for key initiatives and investments.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers, market dynamics, and operational challenges.
Strategic Global Business Partnership.
Build strong relationships with each respective function’s leaders across various regions, serving as a finance advisor in strategic decision-making.
Ensure consistency and alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives globally.
Corporate, Institutional, and Assessment Business Models Expertise.
Leverage expertise in Corporate, Institutional, and Assessment business models to tailor financial strategies that align with each segment's unique characteristics.
Collaborate with Marketing and enabling function teams to optimize revenue streams from different business channels.
Risk Management and Compliance Across Regions.
Identify and assess financial risks associated with marketing initiatives on a global scale, proposing risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal policies across different regions.
Global Liaison and Cross-Functional Collaboration.
Act as a bridge between global Finance and various function’s teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive global financial strategy.
Process Improvement on a Global Scale.
Drive continuous improvement in global financial processes and reporting tools, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
Implement best practices to enhance global financial controls and streamline decision-making processes.
What we are looking for.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in a finance manager role with a focus on global business partnering, ideally in the education sector, specifically English Language Learning.
Knowledge of Corporate, Institutional, and Assessment business models.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable global insights.
Experience in extracting, transforming, and translating data into insights using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
Demonstrable communication and presentation skills.
Experience working in a global context and collaborating with diverse teams across different regions.
