This is a remote contract role reporting into the project’s AI and data team.
It’s an excellent opportunity to contribute to global transformation initiatives with a meaningful impact.
What you'll be doing.
Designing and implementing vectorised and semantic indexes using Elastic Search Enabling AI-driven search functionalities, leveraging models such as ELSER or other embedding techniques Indexing large-scale SharePoint data into Elastic Search Collaborating with technical teams to turn proposed use cases into live, deliverable solutions Troubleshooting, documenting, and supporting implemented Elastic Search enhancements Providing best-practice guidance on the integration of machine learning within search environments What we're looking for.
4+ years experience working with Elastic Search in enterprise settings Proven expertise in semantic search, index vectorisation, and embedding model integration Prior success in SharePoint to Elastic Search indexing projects and experience with large data volumes is highly desirable Strong grasp of AI and ML-powered search models and practical application in production environments Skilled in documentation, support, and knowledge-sharing Agile mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, problem-solving approach Hands-on experience with models like ELSER or similar embedding tools A track record of designing scalable solutions in multicultural or globally distributed teams Interested in using your Elastic Search expertise to support global innovation?
