Put in place supply risk mitigation strategies by working with R&D, Production, and quality, to qualify alternate suppliers Identify, lead, and implement VIP, VAVE (Value Added / Value Engineering) and other projects to drive the cost out by optimizing processes, right sizing specifications, identifying and addresses production flaws, eliminating unnecessary steps in production or supply chain etc.
Lead RFP’s and supplier negotiations either directly for key raw materials, or through dedicated team of Category Managers in order to continuously challenge suppliers and obtain competitive prices on all raw materials.

Work across all SGNA BU’s for relevant raw materials categories and create cross-BU strategies in the best interest of the company.
Work with to develop common dashboards, reports and KPI’s across all business units and categories.
Link to R&D, Product Management and Operations for cost savings opportunities, Business Continuity Planning (risk mitigation) and New Product Development initiatives.
Main point of contact for the BU’s Senior Management.
conduct regular 1-on-1 with senior management and provide updates on raw materials as needed.
Participate in monthly S&OP and regional operations meetings to provide insights into supply constraints or opportunities.
Ensure raw materials sourcing is compliant with Region Purchasing Policy and Purchasing ICRF (Internal Controls Reference Framework) People Management - 15% Lead team of Category Managers and / or Lead Buyers Provide support, guidance and training for the team required for the functions and correct usage of tools / systems.
Full compliance to the Saint-Gobain Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives (Supplier Charter, Ecovadis, Timber Certificates…) Comply and support compliance from direct reports regarding Internal Control, Saint-Gobain Policies and Procedures, etc.
Implement all Saint-Gobain Digital tools and programs applicable for the categories.
Provide inputs to various Saint-Gobain reporting schedules.
Budget, RF’s, Risk Assessment, etc.
Work closely with the plants, Supply Chain and Site Buyers to make sure we have the correct level of raw material inventory, which include master data settings in SAP, such as lead-time, minimum / maximum order quantity, unit of measure, etc.
People development and succession planning.
Provide access to relevant Saint-Gobain training opportunities.
Track individual goals and KPI, provide support to achieve them.
Approve all new vendor creations or vendor master changes.
Indirect, Services, & Energy Management - 15% Ensure all sites across construction chemicals are utilizing SGNA purchasing team energy management tools and suppliers.
Ensure site buyers are utilizing SGNA purchasing systems and contracts on indirect & MRO materials.
Ensure all sites are linked and utilizing services contracts such as waste management, uniforms, etc.
Support engineering team with Capex purchasing and supply chain team with transportation purchases when necessary.
Other Duties - 10% Participate in BU management committees, S&OP meetings, Leadership meetings, Stage Gate Reviews, Sponsor BU specific SPRINT projects, mentorship programs among other responsibilities.
