DESIGN MANAGER

Where passion meets opportunity The best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail! Your Purpose MSC Cruises is seeking a talented and proactive Design Manager to join the Port Development Division at our global headquarters in Geneva.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of shore-based infrastructure projects, including cruise terminals, private island destinations, and related passenger facilities.
Working under the leadership of the Vice President, Global Construction, the Design Manager will be instrumental in translating MSC's operational and brand standards into world-class built environments across our global portfolio.
Your Impact * Develop, coordinate, and review architectural designs for new cruise terminals, destination developments, and support infrastructure.
* Translate functional, operational, and experiential requirements into coherent and innovative design solutions that reflect MSC's brand identity.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners (architects, engineers, consultants, contractors) to ensure project alignment.
* Participate in all project phases - from concept design and masterplanning to tender documentation and construction phases, ensuring the compliance to design requirements.
* Conduct design reviews, site visits, and inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary input, including civil, MEP, structural, landscape, and wayfinding systems.
* Support environmental, sustainability, and resilience goals by integrating best practices into architectural planning and execution.
* Coordinate the preparation of mock-ups and the selection of materials.
Your Journey so far * Master's degree in Architecture (or equivalent).
* 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with demonstrated involvement in infrastructure, hospitality, transportation, or coastal development projects.
* Experience managing design consultants and coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Your Essentials * Knowledge of international building standards and port/maritime infrastructure is an asset.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with BIM workflows and 3D visualization tools (e.
., Rhino, Enscape) is a plus.
* Strong design sensibility and ability to balance functionality with aesthetics and sustainability.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French, Italian, or Spanish is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel to project locations worldwide.
* EU Passport or right to work in Switzerland.
