The Team.
You will join a global and collaborative team, responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Celonis' external email campaigns end to end.
This team plays a critical role in engaging our audience, accelerating pipeline, driving customer journeys, and delivering impactful messaging at scale.
We own all aspects of email marketing, including campaign strategy, content co-creation, audience segmentation, performance analysis, and automation—leveraging our CRM data and A/B tests to continuously enhance engagement and conversion.
The Database Strategy Manager will be responsible for building and executing the growth strategy of the Celonis Marketing Database.
As part of this strategy, you will oversee database governance and enrichment.
Key responsibilities.
Database Growth Strategy.
Develop, implement, and own a comprehensive strategy for the continuous growth and expansion of Celonis's marketing database, aligned with global marketing and sales objectives.
Data Sourcing & Acquisition.
Identify, evaluate, and manage new data sources and acquisition channels (e.
., third-party data providers, intent data, new lead generation mechanisms) to enrich and expand our contact and account profiles.
Database Governance.
Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance (e.
., GDPR, CCPA).
Data Enrichment & Hygiene.
Oversee ongoing data enrichment initiatives, leveraging internal and external tools and services to enhance the depth and breadth of our prospect and customer data.
Work with CRM team to drive data cleansing and deduplication efforts to maintain a healthy and efficient database.
Segmentation Strategy.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define and refine database segmentation strategies that enable highly targeted campaigns and personalized outreach.
Performance Measurement.
Collaborate with the Analytics&Insights team on defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for database health and growth.
Regularly report on database trends, growth metrics, and the impact of database initiatives on marketing and sales pipeline.
Technology & Tools.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support database growth, governance, and enrichment efforts.
Work closely with the Martech Stack and CRM teams for integration and implementation.
Cross-functional Collaboration.
Partner closely with Marketing Operations, Demand Generation, Sales Operations, Sales Development, and IT teams to ensure data flow, system integration, and alignment on data strategy.
Compliance.
Ensure all database activities comply with relevant data privacy regulations and internal company policies.
Required Skills.
5+ years of experience in marketing operations, database management, sales operations, or a strategic role focused on data.
Proven experience in developing and executing data growth strategies within a B2B environment.
Strong understanding of marketing and sales funnels and how database quality impacts pipeline generation.
Experience working with Sales teams and Sales operations teams implementing and improving funnel processes Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM and experience with Marketing Automation Platforms is a plus (e.
., Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo).
Experience with data enrichment, cleansing, and governance tools/platforms.
Experience with Clay is a plus.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different teams.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
Familiarity with intent data platforms (e.
., 6sense, ZoomInfo, Demandbase).
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
