Let’s continue the journey together?    As part of the Global Centralized Cybersecurity Threat Intel team, the Threat Intel Data Scientist reports to the Processing and Data Science Manager.
Data Science lives within the Operations function of the Threat Intelligence group.
As a Threat Intel Data Scientist, you will enable the automation of normalizing, processing, and enriching disparate sets of internal and external data sources into our Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), and other intelligence-focused tools that facilitate research and analysis.
What will your day-to-day be like? The Threat Intel Data Scientist is responsible for.
Format intelligence data from various sources into a Threat Intelligence Platform, amongst other intelligence tools, using a single unified data model specialized for in-depth analysis and AI applications.
Apply threat intelligence expertise to innovate, refine and enhance threat intelligence products.
Identify and extract key artifacts from intelligence data for threat actor correlation and tracking.
Also includes applying data science to identify correlation and clustering of threat activity.
Identify internal and external sources of cyber threat data to enrich understanding of Deloitte's internal landscape.
Utilize machine learning to analyze cyber threat data and provide insights to stakeholders.
Create comprehensive documentation and SOPs for projects, ensuring clarity for colleagues and management.
How do we imagine you? Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent education-related experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in threat intelligence, preferability with a focus on development and data analysis.
Proficiency in the application of data science techniques, including machine learning and data visualization, to analyze large data sets of cyber threat intelligence data.
Strong Python programming skills for developing automations and implementing data processing and normalization scripts, including interaction with APIs.
Demonstrated ability to identify, correlate, and track threat actor activity sets and clusters based on host, network, or behavior-based data.
Ability to identify and leverage both internal and external data sources to enrich cyber threat data to enable in depth intelligence analysis.
Experience with generative AI and prompt engineering to enhance and automate threat intelligence products.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English for clear, effective collaboration.
