What’s the job? To ensure that the plant has appropriate capabilities and relevant implementation plans to deliver Continuous Improvement Objectives (World Class Manufacturing) to the required standards across all facets of the manufacturing environment.
The ability of the CIM to act as a cultural change agent to successfully implement and sustain new initiatives is key.
Accountabilities Include.
To ensure World Class Manufacturing operating standards are designed and implemented proposing any changes in working practices, new process and plant developments.
To act as a hands-on, supportive cultural change agent as all levels of the organization.
Support the management team in the review of progress and the identification and implementation of countermeasures to ensure the World Class Manufacturing program is achieved.
Collect, collate and analyze data to chart the progress of the plant against the World Class Manufacturing plan, recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances.
Ensure communications are fully deployed and answers to questions/points of clarification are looked after on a timely basis to deliver the required understanding and commitment to WCM.
Train managers, as required in the approach, tasks and techniques of WCM and review effectiveness of the training.
Audit, Coach and support teams to enable them to meet the deadlines of the World Class Manufacturing program milestone plan.
Track benefits of the program across the site and report cumulative progress to the local Management Team and Regional WCM Facilitator She or he reports to the Plant Manager and coordinates her/his initiatives with the Regional WCM Manager Dealing with change is a key implication of the job and demands strong skills of team building and coaching.
Successful candidate will require good knowledge of insulation making process and will be required to undertake improvement projects, champion selected WCM pillars as well as lead the facilitation of WCM.
¿Es este trabajo para ti? Bachelor of Engineering Degree or related field such as Maintenance Management.
Minimum 5 years of applied professional experience working in manufacturing, process engineering and/or technical project development.
Strong working knowledge in the various principles and practices of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Total Production Manufacturing (TPM), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 5S and other Lean Manufacturing practices eg.
Autonomous Maintenance, Professional Maintenance and Early Equipment Management.
Agility and willingness to effectively facilitate and encourage change management at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence as necessary.
Results driven, flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication.
Willingness to support a 24/7 unionized, operating environment, which will include weekend, holiday and on-call support as conditions require.
