  This exciting role resides in the Research & Development team and will serve as a key technical resource in the Analytical Laboratory.
The position will develop and conduct testing to support the release of production devices and for validations to support FDA clearance of new products.
This role will collaborate to develop new test methods, conduct testing, and work to deliver new products to hospitals and patients.
Duties and Responsibilities.
Independent analysis of routine samples using applicable test methods, including, but not limited to.
Disassembly and extraction of test samples, bioassay tests such as Total Organic Carbon (TOC), protein, carbohydrate quantification, endotoxin (LAL), as well as water quality monitoring, and FTIR testing.
Supports routine calibration, qualifications, and preventative maintenance.
Maintains laboratory equipment to ensure all resources meet satisfactory requirements of usage.
Working knowledge of test procedures and internal and external standards to ensure processes align with expectations and that results are within acceptable tolerances.
Notes abnormal progress of test procedure, potential Quality Control failures, or otherwise unusual results and efficiently calls out to laboratory personnel and initiates investigations for non-conforming laboratory test results.
Making and recording lab observations and calculations and collecting and preparing data for evaluation, including recording and archiving data.
Maintains record of stock and verifies receipt.
Orders and maintains ample stock of supplies and equipment for laboratory affairs.
Author test protocols and reports and conduct root cause investigations and problem-solving.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform in a team environment.

Qualifications High School Diploma with 4 years of experience in a GMP/GLP lab setting or Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience in a GMP/GLP lab setting.
May consider less for advanced degrees.
Must be proficient in wet chemical methods and lab/bench skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
Experience in the medical device industry following good documentation practices in recording and reporting data is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with computer record-keeping systems is helpful.
Familiarity with scientific and technical data processing and graphing software is helpful.
