In this position you will have the opportunity to coordinate the educational programmes of the Robotics Lab at IAAC, dedicated to teaching professionals a new way to use technology in architecture and construction.
We are looking for a serious manager that loves social interactions in an international and multidisciplinary environment; willing to work with all IAAC staff and faculty to deliver the best experience to our students.
Academic Coordinator for the Robotics Lab at IAAC.
-Main academic activities to manage.
-Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction (MRAC) -Postgraduate in 3D Printing Architecture (3DPA) -Short workshops for universities and industry partners.
Main responsibilities -The coordinator´s responsibilities include a direct management or follow-up of the following programme-related tasks and activities.
-Academic Coordination of all programme-related content -Coordination of Student Body and Faculty relations as well as the Institute´s collaboration with external partners -Programme Logistics and Facilities Management Tasks includes.
-Preparing each academic program following the directors’ guidelines, including calendars, budget, faculty, spaces, machines, travel and material purchases.
-Management of the program implementation by IAAC staff and faculty, working together to deliver the best teaching experience to our students.
-Analyse and overview the success of these academic activities, and propose improvements.
-Communication with students before, during and after the program (leads, applicants, active students and alumni).
-Communication with faculties, providing guidance and assistance in all organisational aspects of the program.
-Communication with partner institutions and industries involved in the Robotics Lab´s academic activities.
-Coordination with the academic department to set up students’ emails and shared drive folders, upload grades in the platform, setup surveys, collect feedback, share coordination activities and calendar with other coordinators, support accreditation reporting and delivering of the final diplomas.
-Coordination with the infrastructure department to set up the classes, final presentation and exhibition spaces.
-Coordination with the laboratories department to define machines and assistance needed by the academic program activities.
-Coordination with the administration department to follow faculty contracts and invoices, student tuition fee payment and reimbursement, purchases and budget review.
-Coordination with the communication department to define communication strategy, curate each program webpage and booklet, manage marketing campaign, follow scholarship, and promote the program in various medias (blog, social media, and other medias) -Propose new academic contents and formats -The work involves a strong collaborative work with other program coordinators, the academic secretary and the student services secretary of IAAC.
Qualification requirements.
-Experience in management of educational programme.
-Experience in teaching, research, project management or communication is a plus.
-Good knowledge of management and collaboration software (Gmail, GDrive / GDocs / GSheets) -Basic Knowledge of communication software and platform (Photoshop / Premiere / IG / blog) Skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Confidentiality, maturity, and professionalism.
-Resilience, problem-solving skills, and capacity to handle challenging situations with composure and effectiveness.
-Autonomous, able to take on responsibilities and coordinate a team efficiently -Capable to identify and resolve conflict, in a courteous and professional manner while adhering to an appropriate policy and procedure.
-Interest in Architecture, Design and Art as well as Robotics, Technology and science.
-Willing to learn, motivated, enthusiastic and social.
Hours.
Full time position, 40h a week Language.
Fluent English required.
Basic and higher Spanish appreciated Permit.
Worker should hold a full work permit for Spain Gross Salary.

et/work-work with us About the Robotics Lab Robotics Lab (RL) is a research group at IAAC that investigates how advances in robotics and digital technologies challenges the way we design and build our cities, towards a more sustainable architecture and construction industry.
Our methodology combines academic research with industrial innovation to develop state of the art solutions that are close to the market needs.
We work in a multidisciplinary team, at the intersection of design, materials and manufacturing, opening new opportunities for radical innovations.

About the MRAC Program.
IAAC’s Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction (1 or 2-year program) seeks to train a new generation of interdisciplinary professionals, capable of facing our growing need for a more sustainable and optimised construction eco-system.
The master is focused on the emerging design and market opportunities arising from novel robotic and advanced manufacturing systems.
Through a mixture of seminars, workshops and studio projects, the Master in Robotics & Advanced Construction challenges the traditional processes in the Construction sector.
It investigates how advances in robotics and digital fabrication tools change the way we build and develop processes and design tools for such new production methods.

IAAC’s Postgraduate in 3D Printing Architecture (3DPA) is a 6-month long intensive programme in the field of additive manufacturing of sustainable architecture.
Between the use of advanced technology for construction and the desire to develop a holistic design approach to architecture, we engage with different areas of research that include robotic manufacturing, material research and performance-based design.
The programme seeks to develop technological and architectural solutions in collaboration with Industry partners to answer the current needs and challenges of our habitat.
