• To prepare Welding Procedures, Carryout Welding Procedure Qualification Tests, maintain Procedure Qualification Records and records pertaining to qualification of welders and welding operators. • Review the Material properties as per applicable Code. • Material Recieving Inspection of Welding Consumables. • Before , during and after welding inspection. • Checking calibration of welding equipments and maintaining a record. • Verify daily welding production reports and ensure compliance to NDT requirements. • Maintained record of inspection and testing. • Witnessing of WPS and PQR and Mechanical Testing for the Welding Procedure Qualifications (PQR). • Witness of Welder Performance Qualification Tests (WPQT) and NDE for the Qualification of welders. • Welding Inspection according to the ASME B31.3,B31.1,B31.8, ASME Sec.VIII Div.1API-1104,API 653, AWS D1.1 and Visual Examination Procedure. • Review of NDE Reports, Hardness reports, PWHT reports and RT Film Interpretation. • Review of Welder records and verification of NDE completion as required by the Project Specifications and Standards. • Preparing and Review of Welding Procedures Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welder/Welding Operator Performance Qualification Certificates and Cards, Review of Welding Maps and Welding and NDE Matrix. • Preparation of Project Weld Repair Rate Report and Welder Wise Repair Rate Report on weekly basis for monitoring. • Monitoring the implementation of Welding Consumable Control Procedure(Receiving Inspection, MTCs review, Storage, Baking, Daily Issuance and Returns, Re-baking etc) • Control of CAR/PAR Log and Client NCRs log and follow up for timely Close out. • Ensure 100% visual inspection on all welded joints and review daily welding reports and schedules NDT, PWHT and hardness test as per required based on piping NDE matrix. • Prepare discrepancy report or non-conformance report on observations during routine inspection. • Preparation of weld summary and NDT record for final test dossier.
