ESL Classes
ene 2017 - Actualmente
Once I gained my TEFL qualification, I began teaching my own private classes after school, twice a week with a class of three children ranging from 2 years old to 5 years, once a week with a class of teenagers with ages of 14 to 18 years old, one on one classes with a 5 year old who needed extra help with his phonics and finally with a small group of adults wanting to improve their conversation and grammar skills. In each of these lessons, I planned accordingly, making sure the activities were fun, engaging and accessible for each student, no matter what level they were at, I then implemented the planning in each learning moment with enthusiasm and support.
Summer Camp Teacher
Dallington School Madrid
jun 2016 - jul 2019
As part of the school working contract, we are obliged to be part of the Dallington schools summer camp. The first year I was a teaching assistant for the year ones, I had to take care of the children’s well-being, as well as, help throughout the daily activities, organising resources and assisting in any learning. The following year I was the class teacher for the year 5’s and 6’s, each week we followed a topic, so I had to plan lessons and activities accordingly. Being a creative and artistic person I encouraged the children to embrace their own artistic side, whether this was through music, dance or art. It is safe to say this was my favourite summer camp that I have been involved with and I am positive the children enjoyed it too. The summer of 2019 I was the class teacher for the year 1's and 2's, we were set different topics to cover over the summer and had to plan accordingly.

Co-Teacher Pre-Nursery
Dallington School Madrid
ene 2016 - jul 2019
Pre Nursery Teaching Assistant January 2016 – July 2019
I joined the school as a Teaching assistant for Reception but was soon moved to Pre-Nursery, where I relished in this opportunity, I soon realised that working with the younger children, was where my passion was.
My role is of a co-teacher/ general teaching assistant for the pre-nursery children. The reasons behind me being a co teacher is because my colleague is a native Spanish teacher, therefore I had to lead any of the English activities, such as, circle time, story time, phonics and any communication and language moments, as part of me being the co-teacher, I also had to help with the writing of reports, the planning – medium term, long term and weekly, as well as sitting in any parent teacher meetings.
Not only have I been leading the English parts of the class as the co-teacher, I had to also assist with the children’s general well-being – washing hands, changing nappies, toilet time, lunchtime etc.
I am a creative, artistic person, so over the past year, I have been in charge of the displays throughout the whole school, thinking of new and creative ways to present a topic, as well as encouraging the children to embrace their natural artistic flair.
I have also been leading phonics in the Nursery classes as well as Communication and Language lessons in Reception.
Nanny for a family
Nanny for Moda in Pelle

In this job I was a nanny for two children aged 12 and 8. I would take them and pick them up from school, assist them with their homework, make sure they were bathed and put them too bed. the mother and father worked hard so if needs be I would stay over, on occasions I would take them on the train to London to visit their family and them go and pick them up a few days later. At the weekends I would take them out for the day for fun activities or educational visits, I would help organise and plan any birthday events and also take them to their doctors/dentist appointments if needs be.

The course covered all age groups and how each age group can work differently, we also learnt the importance of each student being different.
