This EPCC project started since 2016 to build a gas condensate refinery. As the Planning and Business Development Manager in this project I was in charge of a group of 8 project control engineers in central office and site with following duties:
	Develop project concepts, work/cost breakdown structures, project control levels, progress monitoring system, document control methodology, optimal workflow and real-time reporting plan.
	Establish project master plan, resource management and allocation.
	Monitor cash flow, analyze delays and variances and their impacts on the project´s cost, implement preventive solutions, lead management meetings involving all departments´ managers to follow up with the plan and project´s targets, and to communicate possible risks and problems between departments to prevent any hold points.
	Monitor vendors and sub-contractors' time schedule and weekly reports and holding necessary meetings to prevent discrepancies from the plan.
	Carry out studies regarding the worldwide oil and gas sector to analyze trends, risks and opportunities for strategic planning and make effective decisions in the market changes.

I joined this EPCC megaproject at the beginning of the production phase, when the company was changing from a project-based system to a production-based system. During this transition, while I was dealing with the final phase of EPCC project cycle successfully, I am proud of employing my entrepreneurial experience and change management skills to establish three new sub-departments and manage the expansion of Planning and Business Development Department to a larger and more influential department directing 14 senior and junior engineers directly in the four following sub-departments: 
Project Control
	Claim management, contracts’ closure assessment and post-project evaluations.
	Continues planning, budgeting and controlling of development projects.
Business Development 
	Conducting strategic market research and forecast studies in the oil and gas industry and keeping senior managers and board of directors informed by real-time reports.
	Mapping business strengths, risks, industry trends locally and internationally for an effective and dynamic production planning. 
	Creating a Business Intelligence System for the company.
System Engineering and Strategic Planning 
	Establishing an integrated management system with clear and effective workflows that complies to the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Management System. 
	Defining key performance indicators to monitor the company´s performance continuously.
	Conducting SWOT analysis and presenting monthly reports to CEO and board of directors.
Research & Development
	Creating a knowledge management system and lessons learned database.
	Feasibility study of proposals for product development and new operation lines.
	Identifying the refinery's bottlenecks, benchmarking and studying the related solutions.
	Working with academic partners to leverage the potential of applicable research.
