Stress Analysis of Buried Piping
Conducted a study on soil mechanics in the design analysis of buried piping aided by American Lifeline Alliances.
Collected data & documents such as isometrics, GA drawings, line parameters and soil data.
Modelled an underground piping by using CAESAR II Underground Pipe Modeller
Performed static analysis by using CAESAR II to validate ASME B31.3 stress compliance.
Prepared a thorough report and course material about buried piping.

Stress & Modal Analysis of Piping Connected to Reciprocating Pump
Conducted a study on pulsation in reciprocating pump by referring to API 674.
Performed stress analysis on ASME B31.3 code compliance check by using CAESAR II.
Analysed the flange leakage by using Pressure Equivalent Method and Flange Stress Method outlined in Appendix 2 of ASME VIII Div. 1
Evaluated the stress at the trunnion by referring to M.W. Kellog.
Performed nozzle load analysis by referring to manufacturing specification & API specification, and nozzle pipe alignment check referring to PETRONAS Technical Standard.
Analysed the vibration in the piping system through modal analysis and pulsation studies by original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
