During the commissioning and startup phase, continue working closely together with the CSU team and EPC contractor on the development and execution of the overall commissioning and start up logic and schedule, to ensure a seamless transition and handover from Construction to Commissioning and to Operations. Active participation on the Ready for Inspections Walkdowns for the mechanically completed units. Follow up with CSU team and EPC contractor the satisfactorily completion of all punch list items. Review, along with all disciplines, of the hand over dossiers documents provided by the contractor. Continue setting up at the site the organizational readiness capability of the team. As units get handed over, responsible for the maintenance of all equipment under the Utility, Power Plant, Storage & Loading areas with a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Instruments supervisors, Senior Technicians and area engineers. Initiated the population of the CMMS system to include the initial history of all critical equipment. Engaged the OPS team on the prioritization of all received work requests for the units under our custody

On a 28*28 rotator position during the construction and startup phase of the new facility, responsibilities included the development of the organizational capability of the Maintenance Services team by leading the set up and development of the planning, rotating equipment, static equipment, reliability, spare parts, contracts, workshop and shutdown planning and execution team. Directly participated in the selection and recruitment of technicians, senior technicians and engineers for the Maintenance organization. Coordinated, along with CSU representatives, the integration on the maintenance crafts into the commissioning and start up activities. Participated as member of a multidisciplinary group in charge of reviewing the planned maintenance tasks that were developed by the project team before loading them into SAP. During the operational phase of the project led the group that managed the Workshop, Scaffolding/Painting & Insulation, Lifting & Rigging and Contracts teams. On the later phase of my assignment in Angola, led the Contracts team within the Maintenance group in charge of administering all M&R contracts. Developed the contracting plan, SOW for new services, prepared packages for tendering and bid evaluation plans as well as technical evaluations from received proposals.

On a 28*28 rotator position, lead the development and implementation of the mechanical maintenance team for the new plant as well as supporting the commissioning and startup of the LNG process trains, utilities, storage and loading facilities along with the project team. Participated in the selection and recruitment of mechanical engineers, supervisors and technicians for the maintenance team. Prepared Maintenance Procedures and validated the mechanical maintenance instructions prepared by the Project team. Prepared contract’s Scope of Work for the services to be available for the operational phase. In liaison with Project Pre-OPS department, planned and coordinated the role of maintenance staff in the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Directly participated in the review of maintenance instructions and plans to be loaded in to the SAP system. Participated in the team that drew up the Contract Service Agreement with General Electric for 4 GE Frame 5 and 4 GE Frame 7. During the operation phase of the plant, was responsible for the execution of all preventive, corrective and planned major maintenance for the mechanical discipline for the process and utilities facilities. In direct coordination with the reliability team, evaluated process pumps performance for continuous operational improvement. Successfully completed the first Hot Path Inspection on the GE Frame 7 Turbines for the process train 1 and for two of the Frame 5 Turbines on the power generation units. On a 35*28 rotation scheme, responsible for the direct management of a multidisciplinary maintenance team of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument and Control engineers in charge of maintaining the complex’s LPG and LNG facilities to meet all business objectives. First in charge of ADGAS’s Train 3 and all associated utilities systems and then transferred to Trains 1 and 2 and associated utilities. As team leader provided the necessary support and guidance to the team to ensure HSE compliance for personnel and equipment. As a certified assessor participated in the training and development programs within the Maintenance Department to support the Emiratization plan. Accountable for the groups KPI’s to assure efficiency and compliance. Preparation and submittal of KPIs monthly reports. Responsible for the definition and follow up of capital, major revenue and operating budgets. Active input in the development and review of the new/amended maintenance tasks for the SRCM implementation. Defined and prepared requirements for Contractors Service Orders for provision of works and services. Successfully coordinated a 13 days emergency plant shutdown for the inspection of the Hot Carbonate Absorber Column and Carbonate Re-boilers systems. Permanent and active member in the Emergency Planning and Response Center for the LNG production Complex.
