Learning and development specialist

• Design and delivery of training across multiple disciplines ranging from Customer Service, Leadership Skills, Management Skills, Human Resources practices, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Train the Trainer as well as project management support and implementation skills.

• Working closely alongside HR Business Partners and Area Managers to identify training gaps and to execute coherent solutions. I also partnered with Engagement and Recruitment teams to support the on-boarding experience of Retail and Head Office new starters at all levels.

• Monitor and manage the development process of all roles in the Retail department from nomination through to promotion.

• I worked with and managed 3rd party relationships with our E-learning platform supplier. www.cpltraining.co.uk

• Managing three direct reports in charge of the delivery and ownership of the Retail Induction and other hourly paid roles.

• Full ownership of internal Management Development Programme, delivering an average of 5 programmes per year to support internal management succession.

• Evaluation of L&D initiatives to establish what value it adds to the business and review accordingly.

• Liaise with other departments to deliver any additional training, assist in developing new ideas and managing other projects.

• Managing and leading a team of 12 to drive excellent morale and engagement.

• Driving sales to achieve budgets by excellent control of costs and excellent training of
the team.

• Development of the team to achieve a full family tree.

• Achieved 4% like for like sales growth within 3 months of taking over the store.

• Awarded a 5 star rating by the Environmental Health Officer.
