Successfully developed analysis tools for ailerons and flaps of the Bombardier CSeries (CS100) aircraft; This involved developing a script to validate the components following the strict authority regulations using data analysis, hand calculations and FEA. • Conducted Static and fatigue analysis of different flap locations. • Generated detailed sub-models to complement and validate the FEA and capture localised yielding and load distribution. • Performed metallic and composite joint analyses (bearing bypass, pull through and shear-tension) on fasteners of flaps and ailerons. This task significantly reduced analysis time and helped the client make decisions based on findings. • Generated VBA and Patran PCL scripts to automate DFEM result extraction for the stress analyses, obtaining margins of safety for the joints between skins/ribs/spars/brackets. • Mitigated low margins using Bombardier methodologies and design manuals. • Elaborated stress dossiers to support aircraft certification. • Successfully carried out a detailed investigation to assess the impact of failure of fasteners in critical locations with FEM and hand calculations.
