Within the programme for design and construction of Mochovce 3&4 Nuclear Power Plant, fulfilling a role as Area Project Manager in Conventional Island, I was accountable of managing on-time, on-budget and quality execution of the scope of work assigned to different contractors as part of the EPC delivery structure, including the technical and contractual management of all phases of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases. 
The main scope of work was related to the power train of the Conventional Island, including the management of contractors for Turbine, Generator, Condenser or Condensate Treatment System, amongst others, managing a budget of more than 250 Million Euros, with contracts spanning from thousands of Euros to more than 150 Million Euros.  

As a Project Manager, I successfully delivered my technical and contractual responsibilities:
•	Being accountable of the execution and management of the project processes, including contract administration, schedule and budgetary performance, quality, safety and technical detail.
•	Authored, owned and managed satisfactorily Project Execution Strategies and Plans, including definition of scope and success criteria, ensuring correct development of project baselines, planning and scheduling.
•	Engage with Contractors to ensure delivery against requirements. 
•	Controlled scope, costs and schedule to ensure the project performance according to baselines.
•	Applied change management process in order to comply with changes in project criteria and objectives.
•	Ensure contractors implemented quality assurance plans and programmes to ensure project compliance with legislation and safety requirements and to meet the specified project quality criteria, including non-conformities management and resolution. 
•	Engaged with Construction and Commissioning Managers to ensure Contractor’s performance in compliance with Site Safety and Technical conditions.
•	Identified and assessed risks and implemented effective risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions to secure the project, reducing the likelihood of failure and taking credit of potential opportunities.
•	Communicated, managed and resolved effectively technical cross-cutting issues by ensuring engagement with the different external and internal departments (planning, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Licensing, Lead Team, etc).
•	Accountable of the interface and integration of the different internal disciplines (Procurement, Legal, Financial, Contract Management, etc) to resolve contractual issues, i.e. amendments, procurement needs, claim resolution, contract terminations, back charges, etc.
•	Led the commercial negotiation with Suppliers, working alongside Procurement and Contract Managers.

As Lead C&I Engineer, being part of the Engineering/Design Authority on the client side (end user), I successfully delivered my technical responsibilities on the design of a nuclear power plant in Wylfa (UK):
•	Defined strategies, work plans and processes to deliver satisfactorily design and safety substantiation.    Areas of work: nuclear and conventional safety; equipment qualification; ageing and obsolescence; asset protection; architecture, reliability analysis, condition monitoring, software design, HF principles, etc)
•	Led strategies and management of interfaces with other disciplines to resolve cross-cutting issues.
•	Acted as interface with the project management team to technically support the project planning.
•	Compiled requirements and specified supplier’s submissions to comply with standards and guidelines.
•	Acted as Intelligent Customer, providing guidance to supply chain and carrying out technical design reviews. 
•	Worked with suppliers and regulators to ensure licensing and permitting requirements were met.
•	Developed sufficient team capability and resources, including oversight of competence assessment.
Senior I&C and Human Factors (HF) Engineer

Within a programme for development of innovative products for control rooms and workplace design, I carried out, at the same time, both the roles of Project Manager and Lead engineer for a Control Room Simulator research project for electrical power plants, being accountable for the whole project execution.
The project included basic design from early concept of operations, detailed engineering of the simulator and manufacturing and development of a partial simulator for commercial purposes, including the integration and testing of generic plant models and equipment.

As a Project Manager, I successfully delivered my technical and contractual responsibilities:
•	Authored, owned and managed satisfactorily Project Plans and Strategies, including definition of scope and success criteria.
•	Conducted requirements capture exercises to ensure requirements were properly understood and developed project baselines, including planning and scheduling activities to manage the project. 
•	Controlled earned value, costs and schedule to ensure the project performance according to the agreed baselines, instigating and managing change control as necessary to meet functional criteria and objectives.
•	Applied agile methodologies to ensure compliance with constantly changing project requirements and priorities.
•	Secured and maintained a qualified project team and adequate external resources.
•	Identified and assessed risks and implemented effective risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions to secure the project, reducing the likelihood of failure and taking credit of potential opportunities.
•	Provided accurate and timely information and reporting (metrics and KPIs) to maintain an effective communication to the project team, sponsor and all other stakeholders.
As Lead Engineer, I delivered similar responsibilities as the ones listed in the roles below as Lead C&I/HF engineer, including for example definition of strategies, specification of requirements and standards, definition of deliverables, design processes and milestones, etc.

Fulfilling both roles as Project Manager and Lead Engineer in the supply chain side to complete the design and construction of the operating control rooms of Fuqing 3&4 Nuclear Power Plant (China). Project budget around €50M.
•	Delivered satisfactorily similar responsibilities as Project Manager as listed in the role above. 
•	Delivered the same responsibilities as listed in the role as Lead C&I/HF engineer below, from a supply chain side, leading a group of 10-20 engineers to deliver according to project and contractual requirements.
•	Prepared and issued technical proposals, providing support to the Head of Function.
