• Structural analysis and simulation of blades and nozzle guide vanes of the Trent XWB-84 EP Low-Pressure Turbine.
• Conduct static, transient, dynamic, plastic, fatigue, creep and crack propagation analyses using Rolls-Royce's FEA package SC03.
• Respond to manufacturing issues by stress analysis of defects.
• Prepare and deliver documentation for certification and tests.
• Developed automation scripts resulting in process time reductions up to 50%.
• Active developer of ITP's in-house stress postprocessor MegaLife. Reported and fixed bugs, added functionalities, pioneered its use in new kind of analyses.

Within Mechanical Products and Engineering, the R&T team develops novel technologies in the field of dimensionally stable structures for satellites and satellite instruments. These technologies are enablers for future missions in the field of Earth Observation, Navigation and Science (ENS).

• Responsible for the design, production, integration and testing of the cooling system of the electrical powered race car DUT 14.
• Developed, verified and validated heat transfer models for temperature estimations of the motors, controllers and cooling fluids of the car.
• Achieved a 40% weight reduction in components with respect to the previous year (DUT13).

Thesis: Multiscale Simulations for Fracture Prediction in Composite Materials. Extended and implemented in Abaqus a novel multiscale framework able to carry out virtual tests of composite materials and determine material fracture parameters. Grade: 8.5/10. Findings published in the European Journal of Mechanics - A/Solids.

Bachelor Thesis: Design of a Hydrogen-powered Unmanned Ultra Large Cargo aircraft.
Developed together with nine more students a conceptual study for an ultra large hydrogen-powered blended wing body cargo aircraft able to transport up to 100 twenty-foot equivalent unit containers (TEU). Published in the Platform for Unmanned Cargo Aircraft website and presented on the CEAS Symposium 2015.
