OSITION SUMMARYThe job of a welcome desk agent is to ensure that our guests are greeted upon arrival and provided with an efficient check-in.
A responsibility during check in is to ensure that all guest preferences are fulfilled as well as retrieving all necessary guest information like the method of payment.
The Welcome Desk is often the first point of contact for guests, we need to be extremely knowledgeable of the hotel, the facilities and the area.
Communication with other departments is very important to ensure an efficient operation.
Multitasking will be part of the job and you should be able to remain calm in sometimes busy situations.
As a Welcome Desk Agent we occasionally have to deal with difficult situations, you should be confident in dealing with those as well.

Experience in the luxury hospitality segment is an advantageCORE WORK ACTIVITIES • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.• Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.• Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.• Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.• Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.• Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.• Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.• Cash guests personal checks and travelers checks.• Count bank at the beginning and end of shift.• Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
