Permanent contract     Position Summary  R&D Information Technology (IT) is the stream in Nestlé IT in charge of powering the biggest R&D function in the food industry with IT capabilities to drive company growth through breakthrough research.

You will work as a Technology Expert for R&D IT reporting into the product group manager for R&D IT quality & knowledge   What you’ll do  Evolve the architecture of R&D IT applications & oversee our partners in successful software delivery.
Oversee Software Development.
Provide technical oversight to ensure the reliability and performance of software development projects delivered by our delivery partners.
This includes guiding the design, code reviews, and testing of software applications to ensure they meet technical standards Architectural Design and Best Practices.
Work together with our architecture team to identify and document design and architecture best practices for global adoption.
Ensure that software architecture aligns with business goals and technical requirements  Cloud Environment Management.
Manage and optimize cloud environments to support software development and deployment.
This includes ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of cloud-based solutions  Technical Consultancy and Support.
Provide specialist consultancy, guidance, and support in specific technologies based on subject expertise.
This includes recommending improvements to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery of services through the use of technology   To achieve the above, you will primarily collaborate with R&D stakeholders, R&D IT Product Managers, our R&D IT architecture team, our data and analytics team and the partners we use for our developments in near and offshore locations.
Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or physics or a related study, or equivalent experience Technical Oversight Experience.
At least 5 years of demonstrated ability to oversee technical aspects of software development projects, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
Solid Understanding of Software Architecture.
Proven experience in designing and implementing software architecture that aligns with business and technical requirements.
Proficiency in Python.
at least 2 years’ programming experience in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Experience with Cloud Environments.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including managing and optimizing cloud resources.
Vendor Management Skills.
Experience in collaborating with vendors to build out effective IT solutions Problem solving Skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
Eager to learn and acquire new skills.
desire to learn and expand your knowledge into new areas such as data modelling, analytics architecture, data engineering etc.
Optional Requirements Knowledge of Django.
Familiarity with the Django web framework, including its features and best practices for web development.
Experience with DevOps Practices.
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code.
