Supplier Development Lead (Fixed-Term Contract) A Snapshot of Your Day Step into a pivotal position at Siemens Energy where you'll be the motivator for change within our dynamic environment.
As an integral member of a dynamic team, you'll orchestrate in your individual contributor role with corporate responsibilities, pivotal initiatives designed to elevate performance, enhance capabilities, and develop collaboration with key supplier partners.
Your role involves tackling critical supplier-related challenges in quality, cost, capability, capacity, production as well as leading and demonstrating the collective expertise of global teams to achieve outstanding results.
How You’ll Make an Impact Craft and steer groundbreaking strategic programs and projects that boost supplier performance and collaboration, addressing both immediate quality and delivery concerns and forward-thinking supplier development needs such as capacity expansion, yield optimization, production ramp up and technological advancements.
Employ problem-solving techniques to analyze supply chain issues, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and ensure comprehensive reporting and implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
Formulate and disseminate detailed methodologies, innovative ways, and best practice frameworks, drawing from your rich experience in Supplier Development.
Your contributions will elevate Siemens Energy's supply base by sharing knowledge with both internal and external stakeholders.
Take charge of project leadership, including meticulous planning, progress tracking, milestone reporting, and managing budgets and resources.
What You Bring  A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
A proven experience in supplier development, supplier quality management, strategic procurement, manufacturing operational excellence or a related technical field.
A track record as an influential change agent with expertise in leading Supplier Development initiatives and managing cross-functional, international teams.
Your proactive nature, strategic and analytical thinking, leadership prowess, and intercultural skills are essential.
Desirable qualifications include certifications or demonstrable experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Production ramp up, SCRUM, and Data Analytics.
Robust Project or Program Management abilities, with a focus on advancing projects, strategic foresight, and swift customer concern of issues for resolution.
Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and effective communication of insights and outcomes.
Availability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.
