The Digital Banks Lead will focus on developing and refining the value proposition for the company's digital banking products, optimizing the customer acquisition funnel, driving market growth through CRM strategies or strategic partnerships.
The role is critical in identifying key market opportunities, targeting the right customer segments, and ensuring the digital bank achieves sustained growth through data-driven marketing and funnel optimization.
The leader will play a key role in developing and executing coherent and consistent market strategies across digital banks of BBVA Group and foster learning sharing across internal and external ventures.

Required Experience & Skills • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business analysis, market development, or strategic planning, ideally within digital banking, fintech, or a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
• Track record of cross-functional leadership, strategic alignment, and outcome-driven execution.
• Proven ability to build, assess, and refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
• Strong experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development.
• Deep understanding of market segmentation, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
• Experience in identifying and managing strategic partnerships or investment opportunities is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in STEM (e.
., Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) strongly preferred; degrees in Finance, Economics, or Business will also be considered for candidates with demonstrated analytical rigor.
MBA or other relevant advanced degree (e.
., in STEM, Business, or Quantitative Finance) is strongly preferred About the job.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Value Proposition & Market Analysis • Lead the definition, development, and ongoing refinement of compelling value propositions for digital banking products, tailored to the needs and preferences of diverse customer segments across BBVA markets.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to assess industry dynamics, identify target segments, and uncover high-value growth opportunities across existing and new markets.
• Monitor competitor positioning and strategy to ensure market differentiation and relevance.

Strategic Initiative Evaluation & Business Performance Analysis • Drive clarity in complex and ambiguous situations, breaking down problems and communicating solutions with structured, fact-based frameworks • Apply first-principles thinking to challenge assumptions and uncover new strategic angles to drive competitive advantage • Raise the bar on decision-making quality through deep analytical rigor, hypothesis-driven thinking, and data-backed trade-off assessments • Insist on the highest standards in business case development, ensuring that growth initiatives are backed by robust scenarios, risk analysis, and clear upside narratives • Evaluate new and existing business initiatives with a focus on feasibility, ROI, and strategic alignment.
• Drive development of detailed business cases supported by financial modeling, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
• Partner with product, marketing, and finance to assess business unit performance and identify areas for optimization or scale.

Partnerships & Strategic Collaborations • Identify, evaluate, and structure strategic partnerships that support growth, innovation, or expansion in digital banking.
• Align partnership opportunities with broader business goals, ensuring mutual value creation and operational fit.

KPI Framework, Target Setting & Performance Reporting • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across customer acquisition, engagement, market penetration, and revenue growth.
• Establish target-setting frameworks that align with business strategy and drive accountability.
• Deliver regular reports and insights to senior leadership, enabling data-informed decisions.
• Dive deep into operational metrics and continuously refine strategies based on what's actually working in-market, not what was planned.
• Facilitate post-mortems and learning reviews for major initiatives, applying "earned wisdom" to future cycles of strategy execution.

Strategic Alignment & Cross-Functional Execution • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, Data, and Engineering to ensure strategic initiatives are well-executed and aligned across departments.
• Ensure coherence between all initiatives, leveraging synergies across BBVA digital bank ventures.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders and cross-functional peers, delivering strategic insight that drives results, not just recommendations.
• Influence without authority across global product, tech, data, and finance teams to align execution with the strategy's "true north star." • Actively challenge product and technical teams with thoughtful "disagree and commit" leadership, ensuring strategies are debated and aligned before execution 6.
Customer-Centric Strategy & Experience Impact • Lead customer journey analyses and advocate for customer needs in all strategic evaluations, using data to spotlight experience gaps and untapped opportunities.
• Champion customer obsession by aligning value propositions and digital strategies around pain points, delight moments, and emotional drivers uncovered through user research and analytics.
• Translate strategic priorities into tangible improvements in customer value, loyalty, and long-term engagement metrics.
• Establish mechanisms to measure customer satisfaction, adoption, and sentiment impact of new strategic initiatives.
7.
Knowledge Sharing & Organizational Learning • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across BBVA's digital banks to foster innovation, alignment, and continuous improvement.
