JOIN THE TEAM

The product team Business Accounting Reporting is a globally acting team, which combines technical and professional expertise around SAP Controlling applications and to a minor volume in non-SAP solutions. We are looking to expand our Agile Product Team with a SAP Software Engineer / Developer.

As SAP Software Engineer / Developer you understand functional solution designs and translates them into technical designs and realization. You are responsible for the design and development of functional or technical applications or the enhancements to existing applications. You have deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, implementation and development of new software and in database technology. You are expert in different programming languages (e.g. ABAP, SQL, JAVA) and ideally you have also good knowledge of UX development (e.g. SAP Fiori, mobile Apps, UI5)

You will work with cutting-edge technologies and the latest solutions (SAP UI5, ABAP Cloud with RAP, SAP BTP and CAP)

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Technical design and implementation of application enhancements and new applications around SAP Controlling
- Development of those application by using state-of-the-art design and programming methods and ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF guidelines for development
- Ensures runnable, supportable and stable solutions from a technical point of view together with operations
- Contributes to planning and provides cost estimations for complex projects
- Supports creation of (functional) Solution Design Documents
- Supports testing and error correction activities
- Contributes to act according the agile values and principles
- Self-organized working within our product oriented working approach
- (optional) Experience in agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM, KANBAN etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors or Masters degree required with preference in Information Technology
- At least 4 years professional experience in a Technical Consultant role, as software designer or as developer in the SAP area)
- Bachelors or Masters degree required with preference in Information Technology
- Excellent programming skills in an object-oriented programming language
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong knowledge in database design and development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and proactive thinking
- High developed ability to foster sustainability and collaborate for achievement
- Object oriented programming skills
- Experience in development with CDS views
- Experience in working with HANA Studio and Eclipse
- (optional) Experience with data replication (SDI)
- Ideally knowledge in UI5, Fiori, ABAP OO or JAVA and knowledge in cloud computing
- Good innovative orientation
- Fluent language skills in English (written and spoken)
- Effective human relations and communications skills are important to develop, establish cooperation and rapport with users at all working levels and of different nationalities.
