Our team focuses on offering a Business Prime experience for those users that are interested in going one step further. We need smart software engineers with experience on complex systems that want to take this product to the next level in terms of scale and features.
Scale at Amazon is, well, really big. There are few companies out there building at our scale and complexity. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will lead the design and implementation of important features that involve multiple teams and span different tech stacks. Youll not only code, but also drive the direction of the software architecture, and work proactively with other teams on integration projects. After a ramp up period you will also lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and drive important technical decisions across stake holders.
As part of the Business Prime team you will be responsible of driving the next generation of features, ensure we have the technology to expand to new market places and verticals and integrate our offering within the Amazon Business and Amazon Prime ecosystems.
Business Prime is becoming the one and only Prime offer for Business customers and as such we are redesigning our core systems to multiply the number of subscriptions and the number of benefits offered. Come join us!
A day in the life
Design, develop and maintain at scale a variety of stacks that includes front end components, Java and Kotlin backend components and AWS components.
Interact with other teams to collaborate and disambiguate the tasks we face on our day to day challenges
About the team
We are one of the tech teams in Business Prime (BP). We come from the merge of two different teams: Corvega, founder team of BP, and Fort Knox. Swans is the owner of BP offers and acquisition (including, but not limited to, sign-up, acquisition and upsells), eligibility and BP Abuse and Fraud Prevention charters.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
