Software Architect

As the Software Architect, youll be responsible for the architectural design and overseeing the technical design and implementation of improvements to our application landscape. About the team

Youll become part of Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) - a team responsible for developing and managing the solutions which facilitate and control access of B2B (business-to-business) partners to Swiss Res applications and services. We are part of the Security Team - the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. The Security Team is responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. It also defines and advances the companys security strategy.

In your role, you will...

- Take ownership of software architecture in Swiss Res B2B Identity Access Management (IAM) landscape
- Design and drive the landscapes transformation to improve resiliency, automation, and standardisation of B2B IAM services
- Act as a (technical) lead for the delivery of new services and transforming existing services
- Collaborate with other experts in the team to ensure seamless integration of new services across the company

Your qualifications

What we need from you
- Skills and experience in some of these areas: software engineering, application or solution architecture, API architecture, event-driven architecture
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in the field of professional software development including large, complex applications
- Self-starter with can-do attitude
- Demonstrated ability to push architecture topics forward as part of a team or independently Determination to delve into technical, conceptual, or architectural layers
- Good communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English

Nice-to-have
- Diploma or certification in business analysis
- Past experience as a software developer
- Experience working in larger, multi-national environments
- Experience in formulating solid acceptance criteria for user stories together with the Product Owner
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable
- Knowledge and experience in Identity and Access Management as a discipline
- Technical skills and experience with modern authentication authorisation protocols
- Knowledge and experience in IT service management, different cloud platforms (Azure, Ali, AWS, etc.) and/or IdPs (identity providers)
- Technical skills experience with security audits, penetration testing, or offensive security
- SANS GIAC, CISSP, CCSP, or similar qualification
- Solid knowledge in governance, risk, and compliance in a highly regulated industry
- Experience working in an agile environment and DevOps and DevSecOps automation

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60.000 and EUR 100.000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicants own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
