SNR SPECIALIST: M-PESA SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Ensure proper reporting of the revenue leakage incidents to the stakeholders from the time of the detection to the closure, involvement in design of the M-Pesa products in terms of assurance and fraud controls to avoid loop holes that may result into revenue leakage, or unnecessary costs and checking the integrity of systems in place.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership.
• Regularly review and ensure that published tariffs are implemented accurately on Vodacom M-Pesa systems.
• Perform quality assurance testing on key processes and systems changes which impact recording, processing and billing/invoicing of revenue producing events.
• Identify, prevent and monitor potential errors in revenue cycles by developing internal controls based on industry best practices.
• Perform regular reconciliation and gap analysis of revenue/costs streams including the third party integrated products.
• Managing the revenue assurance M-Pesa Team, making sure the team is performing at its highest potential and develop it to cope with new revenue assurance techniques and tools.

Ability to focus on the lowest level of detail and assess the impact at the macro level.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong mix and combination of Technical/engineering skills as well as Financial skills.
• High level negotiating skills in problem resolution.
• Good business/technical acumen with a clear understanding of revenue cycles and underlying technologies.
• Exhibit enthusiasm and a can-do attitude about work and deliverables.
Must have technical/professional qualifications.
• Degree in at least one of the following.
Finance, Business Administration, IT Accounting, Technology, Engineering.
• Knowledge of revenue assurance methodologies.
Key performance indicators.
• Meet the assigned goal of Revenue Loss Prevention/Margin Assurance Value Add through maintenance of existing M-Pesa controls + design of new controls to be implemented.
• Identify opportunities for RA to add value, engage with line management to drive changes in processes and systems and positively communicate the RA mission and agenda through quarterly plans.
• Participate in projects, include machine-learning, deeper analytics, predictive models of RA/Fraud management to implement control by design concept.
• Drive more Automation, machine learning, analytics and intelligence in Mpesa assurance, in both proactive detection, prevention and protection of the margin.
