The Job.
The Metals & Minerals (M&M) segment serves process and laboratory analytical needs for customers globally across Cement, Metals, Mining, Research and Academic, and Environmental applications.
Our core technology offerings are OES, XRF, XRD, PGNAA and are supported by automation systems that provide engineered sample introduction solutions integrated with our analytical instrumentation.
Position Summary.
Our primary locations as a business are Ecublens (Switzerland), Brno (Czechia) and Adelaide (Australia).
As Product Manager XRD you ‘own’ the product.
You are responsible for the product line strategy, ensuring balanced and profitable growth.
You will understand customers, the competitive landscape and analyse and provide actionable insights – then be able to implement and deliver this working with colleagues across a matrixed organisation.
The position requires significant thought leadership, strategic marketing skills, and the ability to influence across a wide variety of functions / roles.
The individual in this position should be viewed as a skilled marketing professional with solid understanding of the market, customer, competition, and service offerings.
Customer Centric.
Be an authority on our customers.
Proactively listen, understand, and develop actionable insights into how we can develop products that contribute to customers success Articulate these insights in a concise and compelling way so that internal collaborators ‘get’ the customer and their desired outcomes and translate these into growth initiatives Define market requirements and synthesize customer input by conducting VOC and market research to understand key market trends, use cases, customer requirements, etc.
Product roadmap.
Own the product roadmap, illustrate a vision and prioritize requirements.
Leading the innovation process for the assigned area(s), assess opportunities, validate concepts for new product offerings and prepare arguments to support the investment Review our current products offerings, how well the product is performing in the market, understand how it impacts the company operations and how it ultimately contributes to profit Independently establishes and leads critical initiatives that drive commercial success and support the overall business strategy Execution.
Define the strategies and programs that will generate awareness and leads for your products in collaboration with marketing communications Be responsible for the execution of initiatives to drive profitability Own the pricing model, ensure that we are extracting the maximum value, considering different regional and competitive insights Collaboration.
Interacts with varying levels of internal and external collaborators including direct client communication and public presentation Exhibits excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills, able to inspire through persuasive presentation of information Work closely with applications team to develop use scenarios and technical specifications for new products and applications Knowledge, Skills and Attributes.
Customer focused, with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, able to talk to the market and present informative analysis Demonstrate Product Management fundamentals, 4Ps, segmentation and positioning, value propositions, persona development, PLM, etc Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers and leadership Financial acuity (forecasting, market share, top and bottom line) Who we are looking for.
A Degree in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred) Experience within Product Management and/or Product Marketing Product line/market knowledge of XRD is beneficial Willingness to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally, as required Proficient in English This job description does not describe all the duties, tasks and responsibilities which need to be performed in the Function.
