Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Senior IT Project Manager to lead a strategic data initiative in the pharmaceutical sector.
The successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and implementation of a data lake and associated interfaces, coordinating across IT, data engineering, and business teams to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities.
Lead end-to-end project management of a technical data lake and interface development initiative.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including data architects, developers, business analysts, and QA specialists.
Ensure the project adheres to GxP, data governance, and pharma compliance standards.
Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and drive mitigation strategies.
Facilitate communication between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
Prepare and present status reports and documentation to senior leadership.
Qualifications Required Qualifications & Experience.
Minimum 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3+ years in data-related projects (e.
., data lakes, data warehouses, data integration).
Proven experience delivering technical projects in regulated industries, preferably pharmaceuticals.
Strong understanding of cloud data platforms (e.
., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data lake architecture.
Experience working with interface technologies, APIs, and system integration.
Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance frameworks (especially in the life sciences sector).
Solid background in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills/Certifications.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Agile certification (e.
., Scrum Master, SAFe).
Experience with data tools (e.
., Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, Talend) is a plus.
