Join our Team Quality Assurance Control Devops within the department Digitalization of Production Technology and be part of our journey to drive our application portfolio for our global stakeholder community. Our goal is to support the divisions to comply to regulatory and legal requirements, improve administrational, production and logistic processes to make them more effective and efficient.

In this role, you will be end-to-end responsible for the development and management of our Quality Assurance Control solution, which is based on, but not limited to SAP R/3 and S/4.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- You will be responsible for technical design of application enhancements, new applications for BASF QAQC processes and support testing and system maintenance activities.
- You will develop the application by using state-of-the-art programming methods and you will ensure runnable, supportable, and stable solutions.
- You will work closely with the solutions consultants, but also with the Divisions to further improve our QAQC Solutions.
- Ensuring integration with other SAP and Non-SAP applications using modern interface architecture.

REQUIREMENTS

- You have a background in computer science, mathematics statistics or information technology
- You have 7+ years programming experiences in ABAP
- Embrace the latest SAP technologies such as RAP frameworks, CDS views, and CDS Annotations.
- Proficient in ABAP Rest/OData2 and OData4 webservices for seamless integration and data exchange.
- Extensive experience in SAP object-oriented programming, bringing innovation and efficiency to development projects.
- Familiarity with S4Hana On-Premise and/or Cloud, abapGit, Adobe Forms and Smart Forms, and SAP Extensibility options for customization and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of Database normalization for data integrity and optimal performance.
- Expertise in building interfaces using SAP API Management, SAP CPI, and OpenAPI documentation to facilitate smooth communication between systems.
- Knowledge of industry-standard protocols such as Kafka and SOAP, and familiarity with Google Apigee for seamless integration with external systems.
- Proficient in designing concepts, principles, patterns, and layers architecture for scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Experience in unit testing to ensure the robustness and reliability of developed functionalities.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methods such as Scrum and utilization of work organization tools like Azure DevOps for efficient collaboration and timely project delivery.
- Demonstrated creativity, motivation, and a strong focus on innovation to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

NICE TO HAVE

- Professional experience in the chemical industry, and working for large companies.
- BTP CAP and BTP ABAP Environment (with gCTS) for seamless cloud integration.
- Node.JS, JAVA (Springboot/Springboot Cloud), JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular/React), and Python for diversified programming.
- Understanding of Security and Authorization/Authentication topics for secure access and data protection.
- Experience in SAP Cloud Application Jobs and Fiori Front-End Applications (UI5/OpenUI5) for user-friendly interfaces.
