REAL ESTATE ACCOUNTANT (M/F)

This is a position based in Paris, which reports directly to the Head of Operations.
As a Real Estate Accountant, you will be responsible for the bookkeeping, coordinating with property management as well as with auditors, tax advisors and clients and ensuring that the general ledger is complete and accurate.
Detailed analyses are performed resulting in managerial reports and financial statements.
You will be dealing with different services (Finance, Property Management, and Design & Construction team) and third parties (landlords, banks, suppliers, external auditors, tax and legal consultants).
ou would be responsible for the following tasks.
ccountingManaging all financial matters affecting properties under managementEnsuring the accuracy of all ledgers, accounts, and balance sheetsPerforming bookkeeping by accurately entering complete journal dataMonitoring and reconciling deposit balances and movementsSupport Property Manager in the regularization of charges and other operationsCarrying out bank reconciliationsMonitoring open receivablesPreparing and reviewing accounting deliverables for landlordsProviding day-to-day accounting support to the property management teamPreparing and reviewing payments to vendors and service providersFollowing up on VAT regulations in SpainElaborating yearly closing of property accounts with Property ManagerReportingWorking closely with the Property Management & Tech teams to issue an adequate set of reportsPreparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual property reporting for our landlordMonitoring property budget vs actualsProcessesParticipating in the implementation of innovative accounting functions with our Tech teamActively seeking improvements to the procedures within the departmentEnhancing and harmonizing processes and procedures for property accountingQualifications.
ou have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similarYou have +5 years of experience in a major accounting firm or real estate industry.
trong knowledge of IFRS for Real EstateKnowledge of French and Spanish tax rules would be a plusAdvanced Excel skills (spreadsheet applications)Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and efficient communication skillsHighly motivated, organized, and detail-orientedEntrepreneurial spirit, in love with new challengesStrong team spiritFull fluency in verbal and written English.
Spanish and French are appreciated
