PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRINCIPAL

Under limited supervision, responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of complex and cross-functional project oriented work efforts.
Frequently leads large project efforts, including taking responsibility for issue resolution across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Assists in the development of business cases, financial analysis, and all aspects of costing and managing project financials.
Drafts and reviews documentation in compliance with the FedEx global development process, and ensures all project deliverables are in compliance with FedEx global development process.
Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the department/organization.
Provides mentoring for the development of those in less senior positions.
Minimum Qualifications.
Bachelor's Degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or business environment.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus.
Experience developing and monitoring business cases.
High business acumen and proven analytical skills.
Lead strategic initiatives; provide updates to all levels of management, tailored to the appropriate audience.
Collaborate across Global business and IT teams in order to ensure key initiatives and capabilities are delivered within scope and on schedule.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
Act as a thought leader for the key initiatives that he/she is leading.
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
Poise in presenting to all levels of management up to CEO and CIO.
Ability to make progress in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.
Extensive experience in the development and management of large-scale global initiatives.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understood business terms.
Experience in leveraging Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE).
PMP or SAFe certification a plus.
Experience with Digital a.

Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tools.
Job Specific Information.
This person will work closely with senior officers, VPs, and partners at all levels with IT, business, Finance, and other functions across portfolios to meet business objectives.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Develop concepts into strategies including quantitative analyses and recommendations.  Regularly review, contribute to and/or develop business cases for Board of Director level approval.
Review strategic plans and asses for feasibility and profitability.  Coordinate input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices, and global and multi-discipline perspectives.
Assists in the development of business cases, financial analysis, and all aspects of costing and managing project financials.  Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the department/organization.
Work with Enterprise organizations to determine demand capacity for specific portfolios.
Lead the day-to-day correspondence with cross-functional teams to meet timelines.  Ability to make progress in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.
Effective project and program management capabilities Manage several complex projects concurrently.
Identify, research, analyze and make recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
Track and align with central PMO organizations as well as functional leads across the portfolios as necessary.
Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies, methodologies, processes, and products to achieve major innovative improvements.  Ensures successful completion of milestones to align with Agile Funding.
